Munger University Ph.D. Admission 2026

• Master's Degree (2-year / 4 semester) with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
• A relaxation of 5% is available for SC/ST/EBC/BC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Persons with Disability categories as per applicable rules.
• Candidates entering through a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's Degree should have at least 75% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade.
• Admission to the Ph.D. programme is based on qualifying UGC NET / UGC-CSIR NET / GATE as applicable.

NET-qualified candidates are considered under the prescribed categories. The merit list is prepared on the basis of NET score and the final selection includes interview/viva-voce.

• Recent passport-size photograph and signature
• Undergraduate Degree Certificate and Mark Sheets
• Postgraduate Degree Certificate and Mark Sheets
• UGC/CSIR NET/GATE Score Card & JRF Award Letter, if applicable
• Class X/Matric Certificate as DOB proof
• Category Certificate / PH Certificate, if applicable
• Employer's NOC for Part-Time Ph.D., if applicable
• Other relevant certificates/documents, if applicable

Part-time Ph.D. is permitted subject to the conditions prescribed under the Bihar State Universities Ph.D. Ordinance and Regulation 2026.

• Employed candidates must fulfill the prescribed eligibility conditions.
• Required candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
• No fellowship or assistantship is awarded for part-time Ph.D.
• Coursework is mandatory as prescribed by the University.
