About the Conference

One Day National Conference, “BHASHA SAMPADA III”, on “Women’s Sensibility in Literature: Representation and Expression” examines the diverse ways in which women’s experiences, identities, and perspectives have been represented and articulated in literary traditions across periods, cultures, and genres.

It invites critical engagement with literary texts that explore women’s emotional, intellectual, social, and political realities while questioning the structures that have historically shaped their representation.

Particular attention is given to women’s writing as a space of self-expression, where questions of identity, agency, memory, and resistance emerge through distinctive narrative forms and aesthetic practices. The conference also recognises that women’s experiences are shaped by intersecting social locations such as class, caste, race, ethnicity, and culture.

By bringing together feminist, postcolonial, comparative, and cultural approaches, the conference seeks to encourage rigorous scholarly dialogue on the evolving representations of women in literature.
